Cenote Pakal-Nah, Mexico Visitor's Guide

Updated: Sep 28

Cenote Pakal-Nah is a family run open-roof Cenote that is great for families as well as those of us seeking adventure. The area is rustic, has clear water and small cat fish, a diving platform and a zipline.

Cenote Pakal-Nah is located just off of the main 307 Highway that connects Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Tulum and all the hotels in the Riviera Maya.

The Cenote is privately owned and can only be accessed using Mayan Adventures or Adventuras Mayas.

Because there is always a risk of injury, please take extra caution here and consider getting Travel Insurance that will cover any unforeseen emergency medical costs.

World Nomads Travel Insurance is our recommended choice, not only because they are the cheapest and have the best service, but because they don't care if you do skydiving or cliff-jumping or anything crazy on your vacation. They understand you are going to have fun and it doesn't matter what activity you do - you are covered!

We highly recommend Mayan Adventures or Advenutas Mayas to take you to the Cenote for a dip. Not only will you have a safe and comfortable time, they will take you to two other fantastic locations along the way - a lagoon filled with fresh and salt water fish to snorkel in and also a Cenote Cave where you can snorkel.

The group tour is very small consisting of just a half dozen people and includes clean snorkelling equipment, a professional guide, transportation, basic insurance, refreshments and buffet lunch.

The Zipline at Cenote is fast and fun!

If you book this tour, keep in mind that the best time to go is early in the morning as all the locations will fill up fast with other tour groups. The water will be the same temperature throughout the day and you will not have to worry about sunburn from the noonday sun.

The tour is $119 per person, but if you use the link below or click here, Experience This 360 will give you 15% off that price automatically. The tour usually lasts about half a day and is well organized and safe. Your guide will also speak perfect English, French and other languages as well, depending on your needs.

If there are tours booked throughout the day keep in mind that the Cenote will shut its gate to the general public because they don't want it to be overcrowded. The best way to avoid this is to book with the link below:
