Rick's Cafe Negril Jamaica Review
Rick's Café is known for having an unparalleled view of the sunset in Jamaica. Set in the West End atop a 35-foot high cliff, it is also known for a heart-throbbing, exhilarating cliff jumping and performances by top-notch Reggae entertainers.

Rick's Cafe can get very busy very fast. It depends on the hour and how many tour operators have made this the stop, either via bus or by catamaran.
Since 1974 Rick's Cafe has established itself as the go-to place to watch the amazing Jamaican sunsets while sipping on Red Stripe and getting the courage to dive out and down the massive cliff.
Things get pretty wild at Rick's Cafe during the evening and many people who quench their thirst develop the courage to jump into the Caribbean waters below. The jump itself is not dangerous as long as you land feet first. The problem is that many people can barely stand or walk and believe they can jump and swim without issue.
If you are going to jump and swim, do so before you get hammered. There are some staff on duty, but it is still very dangerous to do so if you are intoxicated.
If you don't want to jump, no worries mon - there are Jamaican locals that perform crazy jumps from even up higher, upon tall dead trees. It is enough to grab another drink!
Rick's Cafe serves American and Jamaican foods that are priced accordingly. There is limited seating and capacity usually fill up.
We had the opportunity to experience Rick's Cafe through a VIP program. Our driver got us in the side door and onto a patio overlooking the stage. The patio was reserved for us and we concluded our day with an amazing Reggae show and sunset.
Parking is limited and space inside is also limited, so arrive early. Drinks are very good, but food options here can be made quickly. Stick to easy meals and don't expect fine dining - after all - this is a bar and eatery.
If you prefer a similar setting with amazing views of the sunset and cliffs, but also want a little more quiet and less crowded time - check out LTU Cliff Bar & Restaurant down the street. Here you can find a more relaxed atmosphere with free snorkelling adventures.
